I work with other programs in other places doing the same thing. I think the Discovery Wilderness course is a very valid experience. They gain spiritual and general directions for their lives. They have opportunities to learn how to lead and how to serve. Shuman still feels a lot of fulfillment as teachers watching the students complete the challenging Discovery program.
